The Saudi Film Confex 2025 marked a pivotal moment for the Kingdom’s creative economy. For five days, Riyadh transformed into a hub for global filmmakers, studios, producers, and industry leaders. From major production houses to independent creators, over 100 exhibitors converged to discuss, showcase, and shape the future of film in the region.

Behind the scenes of every panel, screening, and tech showcase—Energia was the invisible hand powering performance, comfort, and continuity across 24,000 square meters of built-up exhibition space.
The Brief
The client needed more than just power. They required:
- 10 MW of stable, uninterrupted energy
- 2,500 TR (tons of refrigeration) to manage internal temperatures
- Scalable infrastructure that could support high-load AV equipment, sensitive lighting setups, and high-occupancy air-conditioning—without fluctuations or lag
- Seamless execution within a high-profile venue under compressed timelines
Energia was brought in as the total infrastructure partner, responsible for power, cooling, and on-ground response.
Execution Strategy
Power Infrastructure
Energia deployed a modular grid across the venue, anchored by high-capacity generators, transformer panels, and cable trenches engineered for fast access and minimal footprint.
- Primary Load Zones: Screening halls, audio-visual setups, control rooms, and production booths.
- Secondary Load Zones: Booth lighting, exhibitor tech demos, hospitality areas, and staging.
- Generators were selected and spaced to minimize harmonic distortion and meet exact voltage requirements of sensitive AV gear.

Cooling Deployment
We installed a 2,500 TR cooling system that included:
- Air Handling Units (AHUs) distributed across main activity zones
- High-capacity chillers and extensive ducting networks
- Flexible connections for fast maintenance access
- Indoor temps were stabilized at 22–25°C, even during peak visitor hours and live activations

Site Coordination
The Energia operations team handled:
- Fuel management, using synchronized tank refills and route planning
- Load balancing and runtime sequencing based on daily schedules
- On-site technical teams stationed in shifts for round-the-clock support
No tripping. No equipment failures. Just quiet, precise execution.

The Challenges
Film events demand perfect ambient conditions. Even a few degrees of deviation can cause AV gear to overheat or crash, while lighting and sound systems can falter under voltage shifts.
We engineered our grid with buffer capacity, failover backup, and zone-specific load profiles that matched the show floor’s active calendar. Quick-response relay teams were placed across the venue with diagnostic gear on-hand to handle anything unexpected.
Results Delivered
- 10 MW of clean, stable power, delivered across 5 days without a single disruption
- 2,500 TR of cooling operating at optimal load throughout the event
- 100+ exhibitors, 50+ activations, and thousands of visitors supported with continuous energy and climate control
Every moment was powered to spec. Every story on-screen stayed uninterrupted.
Why This Project Matters
Saudi Film Confex wasn’t just another expo—it was a message to the world that Saudi Arabia is investing in the next frontier of culture and content.

Energia’s role wasn’t limited to infrastructure. We were the technical backbone, enabling every keynote, premiere, panel, and workshop. For us, performance is measured not in noise or flash—but in zero complaints, zero delays, and zero compromise.
Let’s Keep the Show Running
Whether it’s film, sport, commerce, or government—if it needs power, cooling, and total reliability, Energia is built for the job.
