Energia has extended critical support to communities affected by Cyclone Ditwah in Sri Lanka by donating eight high-capacity tower light generators, valued at SAR 160,000 (USD 43,000). The initiative was undertaken in response to a request from the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh, which is coordinating the shipment of the equipment for on-ground recovery and reconstruction work.

The generators will play a vital role in relief operations, enabling nighttime work in affected areas and supporting essential infrastructure restoration. Reliable lighting is crucial during disaster recovery, especially in regions facing extended power disruptions.

The official handover ceremony was held at Energia’s Al Kharj Road facility in Riyadh. The donation was formally received by the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ajwad, from Energia’s CEO, Hassan Shahid.

Expressing his appreciation, the ambassador described the contribution as timely and meaningful. He noted that the support reflected strong solidarity and a sense of corporate responsibility that extends beyond business interests.

Energia’s Managing Director, Mahammed Mohin Shaikh, along with company officials and team members, were present during the ceremony. Representatives from the Embassy of Sri Lanka, including First Secretary Munasingha, also attended.

This initiative reflects Energia’s commitment to standing by communities in times of need. Beyond powering industries and infrastructure, Energia continues to act where dependable energy solutions can support recovery, resilience, and real-world impact when it matters most.
